Topic How much does skydiving Wollongong cost?

Introduction

New South Wales has more than 20 years of experience in skydiving, with a variety of different types of experiences on offer for the entire family. Many people consider diving one of their most adventurous and exciting activities; however, there are few options available for those who want to learn how to do it without breaking their bank card or losing out on the group trip.

You can find plenty of affordable skydive facilities in regional NSW. But if you’re looking to get into it, a good rule of thumb is to work your way up to paying as much as you can afford.

How to Find a Skydive Facility

If you’re worried about the cost, just remember that some of these facilities are quite costly compared to other, lower-cost alternatives. Most beginner-type facilities only offer a basic flight; however, before you choose which of these, take time to figure out the best price. Some will even include full guides, but many only provide a couple of hours of instruction and don’t offer special packages like guided flights.

Even if you plan to fly, it may be worth visiting an experienced skydiver for real lessons, provided they have a certification course (this may vary from state to state).

How to Choose the Best Location

All skydives rely heavily on good weather, so it’s important to know what type of terrain to expect when choosing where to go. You could set out in a sunny area, for example, yet turn back halfway through your stay due to rain, or leave too long and you might miss all of the fun.

Not being able to experience your new adventure firsthand is likely to be disappointing, so it’s best to try and find a spot that holds onto its good reputation across state lines.

Getting Outside and Diving That First Time

The majority of first-time skydivers start at least two hours before departure, and many travels to the site in vans to avoid the need to lug heavy equipment (and potentially damage your vehicle). This means you should set off early enough to make sure you get the minimum length of days required.

If you feel comfortable going under the canopy, then you should also expect several training sessions, including a mix-and-match session (so you can practice any skills you may have taken away in the first place) as well as general lessons during your stay.

Don’t underestimate the difficulty involved in training. Once you master the basics you should expect to spend more time learning how to control devices, balance, and even how to use your kayak. However, the key is to keep at least six months of practice to prevent boredom.

It’s possible to return to the same center within five calendar months, but the process can be very complicated, especially if you’ve become acclimatized but still haven’t mastered that skill.

Take a fresh look at Wollongong and its marvelous beaches with a 15,000-foot tandem skydive. Once the plane reaches the drop zone, at three o’clock you and an authentic Skydive instructor will find yourself skydiving back down to earth. Reaching speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour and falling for about 60 seconds for free, if you want the experience to make you feel alive, is skydiving.

Once your parachute has been pulled, you will enjoy about 5 to 7 leisurely minutes of relaxing swimming, allowing you to see truly stunning views below. As Sydney’s only beach skydive, you will skydive directly over the sea, offering views of Sydney’s amazing beaches. Jump during the whale and dolphin season and there’s a good chance you’ll see one or two of these cute animals while skydiving - however, there’s no guarantee.

The Wollongong Skydive Drop Zone is located in Stuart Park, George Hanley DRV, Wollongong, and about an hour’s drive from Sydney. Skydiving jumps 7 days a week depending on the weather, there are additional costs for weekend jumps.

Conclusion

Skydiving can be demanding, and it can be incredibly frustrating if you aren’t getting the results some would want. Thankfully though, there’s plenty of choice and plenty of opportunities to discover the outdoors.

Whether you’re setting off on your own or enlisting assistance from friends, it’s worth it for those looking to embark on one of Australia’s most dramatic adventures. With all that said, though, there are often additional costs associated with going skydiving, so consider how much you’ll pay rather than how far and wide your adventure goes.
